UFO / UAP Experiences

Years ago, strange objects in the sky were called Unidentified Flying Objects (UFO). Recently, the term Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) has been used and is now the US government’s preferred term. It makes sense, because these things can sometimes go through both air and water (and perhaps even land), and because there is sometimes a constellation of strange effects that come with them. So it isn’t just about “flying” objects. Sometimes it’s not even clear that they are “objects”!

There are many varied accounts of close encounters with these phenomena and with the intelligences that control them – everything from telepathic messages to abductions to craft-driving lessons to surgical procedures. In my own experience, and in the experience of people I know, it is almost impossible to describe some of the high strangeness in these encounters. Western cultural ideas of what is happening are incredibly incomplete. As with sex, love, and war, Hollywood just doesn’t quite capture the reality!

As more people have these experiences, and more of our cultural and governmental institutions discuss the undeniable manifestations of non-human intelligence, things are getting very strange. The US military’s admissions that there are craft interacting with them that break our present laws of physics is a good start. Meanwhile individuals have been having experiences for many years with little support from our typical helping professions – mental health, medicine, education, and religion.

Individual encounters with anomalous phenomena can have effects far beyond seeing strange things in the sky. You may also have experienced physical sensations, time dilation/contraction, fragmented memories, dreams, intrusive thoughts, or strange emotions that seem related to your encounter. There have been many cases involving psychic phenomena, healings, injuries, trips on a strange vehicle, and telepathically communicated messages. Occasionally, there is an encounter with a being of some sort, sometimes several. Whether there is a being present or not, these experiences feel like encounters with some kind of intelligence. Often there is a bizarre mixture of elements that seems impossible.

The current manifestations of the phenomenon are similar to many of the stories that indigenous people have told over the centuries. It seems that the visitors have been coming for a very long time! It is unfortunate that our technology-obsessed Western way of being in the world has made the assumption that those old stories are all made up and have nothing to teach us. These phenomena are humbling us, no matter how advanced we think we are.

As an experiencer myself who is trained as a coach in the IFS model, I can help you to make more sense of your experience, no matter how strange it may have been. Whether you have had a single experience or lifelong interactions, there is hope for greater understanding through “parts work”. Perhaps you have tried talking with people who couldn’t accept your experience, or perhaps you encountered a mental health practitioner who was unable to help you to explore your experience in depth. In my coaching practice, you can count on being treated with respect and support, in a safe, confidential container that allows for positive, deep inquiry and understanding.
